At KADIC Dental Clinic, we maintain a rigorous sterilization process to guarantee the utmost safety and well-being of our patients. Our sterilization system follows a meticulous two-way pathway, encompassing the collection and preparation of used instruments and their subsequent delivery to the treatment rooms, ensuring each patient receives individualized and sterilized instruments. Here’s an overview of our comprehensive sterilization procedure:
Pathway 1: Collection and Preparation of Used Instruments
Step 1: Instrument Collection: After each patient’s treatment, used instruments are carefully collected and transported through one pathway to the dedicated sterilization room.
Step 2: Pre-Cleaning and Inspection: In the sterilization room, the collected instruments undergo thorough pre-cleaning and inspection. Our skilled dental staff carefully remove any visible debris or contaminants from the instruments.
Step 3:Ultrasonic Cleaning: Following pre-cleaning, the instruments are placed in our advanced ultrasonic cleaner. This device employs high-frequency sound waves to effectively remove any remaining debris and contaminants, ensuring a pristine surface.
Step 4:Rinse and Dry: After ultrasonic cleaning, the instruments are rinsed with purified water to remove any cleaning agents and then dried meticulously to prevent any moisture retention.
Step 5:Packaging and Autoclaving: The sterilization process continues with the individual pouched packaging of each instrument, guaranteeing its sterility. Subsequently, the instruments are placed in our autoclave for high-pressure steam sterilization. This process eradicates bacteria, viruses, and all microorganisms, rendering the instruments safe and ready for use.
Pathway 2: Delivery to the Treatment Rooms
Step 1: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): During the transfer of sterilized instruments to the respective treatment rooms, our dental staff strictly adhere to aseptic procedures, donning appropriate PPE, such as gloves, masks, and eyewear, to maintain a sterile environment.
Step 2:Dedicated Pathway: The sterilized instruments are transported through a separate, dedicated pathway to the respective treatment rooms, ensuring they remain completely sterile and uncontaminated.
Step 3: Individualized and Sterilized Instruments: Each patient is provided with their own set of sterilized and sealed instruments. These instrument sets are opened exclusively for that particular patient’s treatment, eliminating any possibility of cross-contamination.
Using Miswak as a teeth-cleaning tool is a highly beneficial Sunnah in Islam. Its natural properties and oral health benefits make it an excellent alternative to commercial toothbrushes. Embracing this Sunnah not only enhances oral hygiene but also holds spiritual rewards for those who follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
